The Event

The Chesterfield Freedom Festival, “Building Strength and Unity in Our Community” celebrates the incredible contributions made by the men and women of the armed forces, and those who serve on the frontlines of Chesterfield’s neighborhoods…our first responders, doctors, nurses and community neighbors. This annual Fall event is an all day festival, featuring lots of vendors, food, stage performances, static displays by local vendors, the armed services and first responders, and featured speakers throughout the day, plus more.

The Vets on Track Foundation is a state and federally recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Chesterfield, Virginia. Our mission is to support veterans and first responders transitioning into permanent housing from homelessness the Foundation’s “Beyond the Streets” program.  Additionally we support widows and widowers through our “Fallen Heroes Initiative,” as well as address PTSD and Suicide Prevention through our Resilency Among Warriors program.

Each Fall, the Vets on Track Foundation, supported by Chesterfield County, DAV Chapter 50 of Chesterfield and Southside Church, will present the Annual “Community Hero of the Year Award.
