The Vets on Track Foundation Heroes Gala is one of the organization’s premier annual events, an evening dedicated to honoring service, celebrating impact, and advancing the mission to end veteran and first responder homelessness.

At its core, the event highlights the Foundation’s life-changing work through programs like “ Beyond the Streets,” “Fallen Heroes Initiative,” “Virginians Give Back,” “Community Connection Project,” and ” Resiliency Among Warriors” programs. These programs help transform vacant houses into fully furnished homes and work to restore dignity, pride, and hope.
A central feature of the evening is the presentation of special awards, including recognition of outstanding “Community Heroes”—individuals who go above and beyond in service to others. These honorees embody the spirit of the Foundation’s mission and the broader community it serves.

The Vets on Track Foundation is a Virginia-based nonprofit committed to one clear mission: ending homelessness among veterans and first responders while restoring the dignity, stability, and purpose they deserve. At the heart of our work is a hands-on, mission-driven approach to helping veterans and first responders transition out of homelessness and into permanent housing.
