Phil Robinson

Phil Robinson—affectionately known as “Mr. Bond”—serves as the National Ambassador for the Vets on Track Foundation, bringing a lifetime of discipline, dedication, and a deep appreciation for service to the organization’s mission.
Born in England in 1956, Phil graduated from Denbigh High School in 1972. With a desire to serve, he applied to the Royal Air Force, but when that path didn’t materialize, he forged his own way—building a remarkable 44-year career as a professional driver. Beginning in 1979, Phil operated everything from tour buses and limousines to heavy-duty trucks and fuel tankers, logging nearly four million miles on the road. His career reflects not only technical expertise but a steadfast commitment to responsibility, safety, and professionalism.
It was behind the wheel of a tour bus that Phil met his wife, Wanda—a moment that would ultimately change the course of his life. In 1992, he immigrated to the United States, embracing the opportunities of a new country and building a life grounded in hard work and purpose. After an accomplished career, Phil retired in July 2023.
Today, Phil continues his commitment to service in new ways. In addition to his role as National Ambassador for the Vets on Track Foundation, he serves as an Election Officer and volunteers with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office. While he did not serve in the military or as a first responder, Phil holds a deep respect for those who do. Through his work with the Foundation, he has found a meaningful way to give back.
Phil often says he is living the American dream—and by dedicating himself to supporting veterans and first responders, he is paying that dream forward. His story is a powerful reminder that service is not defined solely by uniform, but by the willingness to step up, give back, and stand alongside those who serve.
WANDA Robinson

National Ambassador, Vets on Track Foundation
Wanda Robinson, affectionately known as “Money Penny,” is a proud Virginian, born and raised in Hanover County, where she still lives with her husband, Phil. Deeply rooted in her community, Wanda has built a life centered on service, integrity, and genuine care for others.
Wanda, a graduate of Patrick Henry High School (Class of 1975), earned her associate’s degree in accounting from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in 1977. She dedicated 28 years of professional service to the Country Club of Virginia, where she was known for her reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.
After retiring, Wanda sought a meaningful way to give back to the community that had given her so much. Today, she serves as the National Ambassador for the Vets on Track Foundation, helping advance the organization’s mission to support veterans and first responders as they transition from homelessness to stable, dignified living.
Although Wanda has never served in the military or as a first responder, her deep respect and appreciation for those who have is unwavering. The reality of seeing veterans and first responders without a place to call home never sat right with her—and it became the driving force behind her decision to get involved and be part of the solution.
In addition to her work with the Foundation, Wanda serves her community as an Election Officer in Hanover County. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and collecting antiques, passions that reflect her appreciation for history, craftsmanship, and the stories that connect people across generations.
Through her compassion, dedication, and quiet strength, Wanda embodies the heart of service, proving that making a difference doesn’t require a uniform, only a willingness to step forward and help.
