Garrisonville - Stafford, Virginia, September 28, 2015 – Communities are stronger when its citizens pull together in support of one another. Our Nation is stronger when communities unite in support of a cause. We have seen this country come together under the best and worst of times…and when we pool our strength as a Nation…the American people are unstoppable. There is no other country like it on the planet. When Americans set their minds to “get it done” – they simply “get it done.”
On Armed Forces Day, May 21, 2016 – the Vets on Track Foundation and its partner organizations will change the way this country cares for its veterans and their families – but they need the support of the American people to “get it done.”
“The Connect America 2016 campaign is about bringing a Nation together for a cause…all on one special day – Armed Forces Day 2016,” said Rick Ecker, Founder and CEO of Vets on Track Foundation. “Like most all-American ingenuity, it doesn’t take a big elaborate plan…we can get it done through a t-shirt and a song” he added.
Through a specially designed t-shirt and a concert that will be streamed live to Connect America 2016 parties all across the country, the campaign will raise money to establish a National Veteran Support Distribution Center and other Vets on Track support programs, as well as provide financial backing to our non-profit partners supporting the campaign and our veterans.
“Think about it, a concert honoring our veterans and a simple patriotic t-shirt can go a long way in uniting a Nation…one community at a time,” said Ecker. “A t-shirt can carry the strength of a country…but add music, and it can deliver hope,” he added. “By sharing in a common cause, we are able to unite our neighbors, and strengthen the bond within our communities…and ultimately deliver support to our veterans and their families when they need it,” he said.
Connect America 2016 is a fundraising campaign for the Vets on Track Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and their charity partners. Join us in San Antonio, Texas on Armed Forces Day for the inaugural musical celebration honoring our veterans and their families, and show your support by wearing your Connect America 2016 t-shirt on May 21, 2016. If you can’t make it to San Antonio, no worries, the concert will be live streamed to many parties across the country. A list of locations will be published on our website once they are locked in!
The concert will be an all-day event, featuring music from various genres (Country, Hip Hop, Soul, Rock…music for every taste). Although we expect to have three or four headliners, the majority of the music will be performed by veterans who are up and coming in the music world!
As an extra draw, we will use the event to set two, Guinness Book of World Records: 1) for the most veterans gathered at a single event; and 2) the most people wearing the same t-shirt on the same day!
We hope you see the value in purchasing a Connect America 2016 t-shirt…knowing that each sale will go to support the Vets on Track Foundation and our partner organizations. You can get your shirt at www.VetTrack.org.
